Payroll made it extremely difficult to pay bills and eat for the summer. I have not gotten a single paycheck throughout the entire summer without it having some sort of issue:
-the direct deposits weren't working right and they didn't let anyone know until they didn't get paid on time
-week-after-week, they kept paying us below the wages we were supposed to be getting, so we would have to get retro-pay to make up for it.
-they took off a half a week for 4th of July without notifying everyone that, since the direct deposits weren't going to go through, they wouldn't be getting paid on time
For my research project, all of our purchases needed to be processed by the other campus clear across the country. They caused us to miss out on a large chunk of our budget because they took a month and a half to process some very basic purchases. For instance, they spent a very long time processing a tire purchase for the race car we're building, and then when our deadline was getting close, they finally got back to us asking if we could use bicycle tires instead... I don't believe bicycle tires are rated for 250 mph.
