      Contrary to what is stated, not a people or customer first culture

      Pros

      It really depends on your brand or team. Through acquisitions, cultures vary from brand to brand and team to team. Some great people, but not all teams are equal.

      Cons

      Shareholders and cost savings are king. Critical backfill positions are not filled at all or filled in a timely fashion, which is adding unnecessary stress to already overworked, underpaid employees.

As you acknowledge, Emerald has grown through a number of acquisitions, and with that growth comes the ongoing work of building a unified culture across our family of brands. While this is still a work in progress, we’ve made significant strides since 2023, including a major of our pay structures and our talent acquisition team which will speed up the sourcing, interview process, and hiring of new candidates.

      Pros

      Events were my passion especially the shows that were interior design focused. The hours were long but we had a great team which made things a lot easier.

      Events were my passion especially the shows that were interior design focused. The hours were long but we had a great team which made things a lot easier. Until there was a change in management. They hired a person who did not have any events experience and was intimidated by people who reported to her and knew more than her. Then she just let everyone go who spoke up.
