Pros

You work with very intelligent people, Managers are very easy going and understand real life happens, great potential for career advancement if you continue your education and work hard.

Cons

Benefits are lacking, especially Vacation Days and Health Coverage. Training is non-existent and resources are minimal at times. You have to drive to Ferguson Mo to work at the Corporate Headquarters.

Pros

- great gym with fitness classes offered by the company (bootcamp, yoga, Zumba, etc.) - good people - good pay and profit sharing - flexible hours depending upon your manager - nice cafeteria

Cons

- leadership is super conservative and doesn't adapt to the changes in the workforce/generations. Emerson is falling behind in benefit offerings compared to other technology company offerings. - little to no culture - only 2 weeks of vacation for your first 5 years - senior management doesn't listen to department resource needs and doesn't offer assistance in workload challenges - no work/life balance - health benefits pricy due to older employee demographic - complex internal processes and policies - long decision times from upper management which causes road blocked for contributors

Not an environment for success

Pros

Relatively stable employment. Average to below average pay and benefits for a global company.

Cons

An environment of tension and hostility exists that is counterproductive to the success of the company and each individual's career. The company is not looking out for the best interest of every employee and promotes the success of one or two employees at the cost of profit, productivity, and moral.
