Began very well but things started going downhill after a few months.
Pros
Really enjoyed my co workers and the charge nurse I worked with was very kind. I was the graveyard shift so it was generally quiet and relaxed. They had recently installed a touch screen panel to record resident vitals and more. Benefits were good and there was always extra shifts available if you wanted overtime.
Cons
I worked on the Alzheimer/Dementia unit which would require a lot more work than the other floors. There were many times that we were understaffed, which meant that one CNA would have to care for 15+ residents at once. One time we had 38 residents on the floor but only two CNA's. Was probably the worst shift ever. Also, a lot of times we would have outdated equipment to gather vitals. So I would have to borrow equipment from other floors.
