The collaborative nature of the ER builds strong teamwork and sharpens problem-solving skills under pressure. It’s a rewarding job, providing a deep sense of fulfillment from helping patients in critical situations, while also offering job security and opportunities for professional growth.

Cons

The parking deck becomes congested.

Pros

Fellow medical providers and staff are mostly wonderful. Medicine is interesting since a lot of really sick folks come to Emory. Most MDs/residents/fellows are willing to teach.

Cons

Administration and management are toxic. Lots of gaslighting. Inflexible.
