Pros

The benefits are pretty good, especially the tuition coverage you receive. I have been able to get a graduate degree while working here, which was my goal.

Cons

The salary is pretty low and strictly tied to HR structure policies. I have also found there is little room for advancement, and many people have been in the same positions for years.

Pros

Flexibility and decent work-life balance. Depending on the department, the experience can be really great. Also, Emory is a large organization with two business units (the University and the Healthcare side), which can offer many opportunities for advancement.

Cons

Emory is very large. Depending on the department's inclusion in some of the university-wide initiatives, an employee can miss out on some opportunities. The benefits are horrible.
