Pros

Making a difference in the lives of mentally disabled adults, outings common on weekends to Dollywood, bowling, out to eat, etc. Availability to move around to different positions.

Cons

Overworked, if someone doesn't show up for their shift you CANNOT leave. Working 16 hour days is common place. Managers not given instructions just thrown in there. At first you think it's a great place but then you start seeing all the cracks. There is no communication, they say there is but once you start working there you realize you are on your own, hopefully you'll get a good house-manager. Burnout is a very real thing, and if you are burned out to bad you have to keep working. What it comes down to is communication is bad, hours can be terrible, and you get burned out fast.
