Pros

Great People and Colleagues. Used to have Great Culture, too. Pay is above market reference point. Top tier benefits and privileges. Workload is manageable.

Cons

CEO Bill Brown along with new-comer executives may be pleasing the shareholders and investors, but at the expense of employees. Tireless activities to redundiate and layoff people across the globe from time to time, since he arrived. Tremendous effort has been and is still being put to undo all the standardization and stabilization that has effectively been in place for quite some time now. Imagine successfully establishing Service Center sites in Poland, Costa Rica and Philippines more than a decade ago, only to go backwards now by choosing to work with not just one but countless managed service partners. Wasted time, energy and resources. People are not happy. Worried all the time. The job security that 3M has been known for is now gone under Bill’s leadership. Activities that have long supported enhancing team spirit collaboration have been set aside.

Pros

Great products and brand recognition. There are a lot of smart people that love to transfer knowledge. If you want to learn, 3M is a great place for you.

Cons

The culture has changed with the new CEO. The company became more aggressive towards driving revenue versus making innovative products. Also, many people have been upset with the end of remote work.
