Pros
You are very much in charge of your path. If you apply yourself and take on challenges that you set for yourself or are given to you, you'll go far. The company is incredibly diverse, we are so much more than lumber. World trade, Custom Millwork, Installed sales... you wont find those things at any other place and the opportunities are there. Management, all the way up to Maggie expects the best and will put the tools in your hands to get it. Most managers lean towards macro instead of micro. A decent benefit package and bonus structure that makes up for an OK hourly wage.
Cons
Ok, the POS (point of sale) is a little antiquated and may take some getting used to, but it works - and the efforts you put into mastering it will pay off - and it wont take that long. A 48 hour week can be a little draining. Especially in a loud production shop. It's great getting the OT but sometimes the hours can be draining. Management understands this for the most part but it can still be an issue. (Easiest solution is taking a lunch break away from the store and refreshing yourself)
