Pros
None. Great game being pitched according to 8 X 8, yet they have no market share outside of simple VoIP. Vonage and OOMA will crush them along with freebies like Facetime and Skype.
Cons
Live in a microcosm where the company has already succeeded when it hasn't. Company sells commodity product. Trying to move into Call Center. A culture that can't see talent after 50 hours of interviews, celebration EVERYWHERE about how LONG someone has been on board, not what they actually have done. Steer clear, this like so many others in industry, are melting down. This company reminds me of the mosquito swimming on his back with an erection screaming "Raise the drawbrdge! Raise the drawbirdge!" They are only now acquiring the products to make a call center work. It'll be a year to 18 months before it does, and then I'll go work for whoever made it work, it absolutely most certainly isn't any SE manager, his boss, the product managers. Ask them how VoIP works, they'll know along with ten million other people. Ask them if they can build a 5,000 agent call center in two locations and your going to end up with doodie all over your hands.
