Pros

Really nice people. Initially, They tell you they want you to succeed, then shortly you discover there's no truth to it. If you enjoy the call center thing with low wages and minimal support and incentives, this is the place for you.

Cons

When Allied out of Cinci "merged" with Toledo Northwest Ohio, they changed my job description to "call center agent." My wages diminished substantially. I discovered this company has no real interest in the success or well being of their employees. Is there really any company like that? It became obvious that their goal was to rid themselves of as many Toledo employees as possible. After scooping up 150,000 subscribers employees were systematically let go without much warning. Now they've sold the building and the upper management got their golden parachutes. Customer service has decreased and the systems were changing constantly. You were expected to just roll with it and increase your sales in spite of the fact that the AAA Insurance co for most people is way too expensive. The quotas and incentives did not match the tools and opportunities. They had numerous levels of management staffed by some real prima donnas. And I guarantee you none of them could produce under the circumstance in which we worked.

Pros

Opportunities to travel Good training and education Good coworkers and clientele

Cons

Low hourly rate with promises of monthly bonuses which were impossible goals to meet Frequently understaffed with constant interuptions from time wasting calls and walkins making workload unmanageable and not allowed to stay late or take work home Never closing for even a foot of snow Too many mandatory trainings and after hours and weekend client travel events to host Very stressful and disheartening managing. Personally was frequently listed as top 10 sale of the week for whole AAA club Alliance, built a high end repeat clientele booking 20-50k trips with preferred vendors but still wasn't enough to ever qualify for the bonus. More praise and bonuses given to employees who signed more people up for an AAA visa. In 30 years as a travel agent I never had that volume of sales but I was making $18.50/hr. Less money than 20 years previous and got $1.50 total raise after 6 years. Stayed longer than I should've because of awesome appreciative clientele that AAA makes impossible to take with you thanks to signing them all up with AAA CCs which got them $1000s in vouchers to apply.
