Pros

If you like going to work and want to get away with doing nothing all day, this is the job for you. You can watch movies and surf the internet all day without AAA knowing. Extreme poor. good base pay and used to be good pay before all the cuts. No longer the case.

Cons

Everything! Management is extremely poor. Promotions are only given to people they like instead of people who are qualified for the rolls. Company is going down.. The company is extreme unprofessional. They have had pay cuts in the incentives/commissions 3 times in the last 2 years. This company is a joke.. Honestly, I have work for some of the top organizations in the world and AAA operations from direct management up to the senior executives is horrific. many departments have been consolidated(removed) and/or moved out of state. You have been warned. One more thing, training for an insurance agent here is extremely poor as well, There is no training besides systematic training. I am glad I had my insurance license before I came to this company.

Pros

Opportunities to travel Good training and education Good coworkers and clientele

Cons

Low hourly rate with promises of monthly bonuses which were impossible goals to meet Frequently understaffed with constant interuptions from time wasting calls and walkins making workload unmanageable and not allowed to stay late or take work home Never closing for even a foot of snow Too many mandatory trainings and after hours and weekend client travel events to host Very stressful and disheartening managing. Personally was frequently listed as top 10 sale of the week for whole AAA club Alliance, built a high end repeat clientele booking 20-50k trips with preferred vendors but still wasn't enough to ever qualify for the bonus. More praise and bonuses given to employees who signed more people up for an AAA visa. In 30 years as a travel agent I never had that volume of sales but I was making $18.50/hr. Less money than 20 years previous and got $1.50 total raise after 6 years. Stayed longer than I should've because of awesome appreciative clientele that AAA makes impossible to take with you thanks to signing them all up with AAA CCs which got them $1000s in vouchers to apply.
