Business Outlook
Pros
It can be fulfilling to work with the students who are working very hard towards achieving their dreams.
Cons
Some adjuncts "pay their dues" as low-paid part-timers for years and years before being given a shot at a full-time position. It's demoralizing and dehumanizing in a way. Plus, it does a disservice to students, who are given a series of green instructors walking through the revolving door. Few can survive on an adjunct's income long enough to make it to the rare full-time position.
