Pros

None. Literally none. I wish I could rate this place 0 stars.

Cons

Where to start? Antiquated modality of treatment, including lesson plans that have content from the 90s. Lesson plans all centered around teaching neurodivergent children to behave like neurotypical children. ABA is incredibly controversial because of companies like ACES... they rely on part-time workers to provide treatment to clients who need high-quality care and stability. From Day 1, they micromanage employees to an extreme I've never encountered in a professional workplace. No trust for employees, and no autonomy whatsoever. Terrible communication at every level I've encountered thus far. It's by-far-and-away one of the worst employers I have ever had the displeasure of working for.

Pros

- very team oriented - supportive management - independence (you won’t have anyone micromanaging you) - flexible hours - lots of people are willing to answer questions during and after training - emotionally rewarding - you will likely build strong relationships with families and staff

Cons

- short, not very comprehensive, training period - you will likely need to work holidays - the job can be very overwhelming for the pay - client families and employees may take frustrations out on you because you’re the first point of contact - policies often change on very short notice - poor communication from higher-ups
