Pros

Great culture- you can be yourself and feel accepted for it Good pay and benefits Supportive management and coaches- managers are eager to help you learn and value your input New hire training sets a good foundation. There are special learning sessions and groups available afterward to help you earn badges (which makes you eligible for a bonus), get certification ready if you choose, etc Still has a fresh new feeling- the location is so young still, so there is a lot of growth potential

Cons

A con of the location being so new-- there is not a lot of tenured staff. The tenured staff we do have transferred from other locations, and they have been promoted, or they are overworked and stretched thin due to their knowledge. This means a lot of us are paddling like ducks. Kind of a startup vibe which isn't always good for the clients we have. Interdepartmental relationships could use a lot of strengthening. It seems to be a well known fact in client services that certain departments come off with an attitude and/or don't necessarily like talking to clients to help you get a case resolved efficiently. 30 minute lunch- easier when you bring lunch and much more of a rush if you order from the cafe. It's a call center environment, so certain things are monitored like aux times. The only mention of anything related to any scoring or monitoring during training is the TNPS. You are taught what aux codes to use, but you aren't told that they're monitored-- heavily. The not so pleasant surprise comes when you're officially on the floor. Some days are mentally draining when you're still new.. you don't have the time you need to effectively handle cases because of aux times. This, in turn, can affect the TNPS in a negative way. Difficult to get approved time off (more specifically for a Friday or Monday) even a couple of weeks in advance. My approved time was submitted a couple of months in advance. Not every situation is known that far out... and not being able to find a slot even a couple weeks out is frustrating.

Pros

- Established company with a long history and relatively stable business operations. - Provides a sense of job stability compared to many organizations navigating rapid changes in the current AI-driven market. - Lower risk of frequent restructuring or large-scale layoffs than many high-growth technology companies. - Opportunity to work with experienced employees who have deep institutional and domain knowledge. - Predictable work environment that may appeal to individuals seeking long-term stability over rapid change. - Strong choice for professionals who value job security and a steady career path in an uncertain economic climate.

Cons

- Documentation is limited or rusted, and many operational processes lack clear runbooks or standardized procedures, making onboarding and troubleshooting more difficult than necessary. - If you're coming from a modern, fast-paced engineering environment, the organization may feel behind current industry practices and tooling. - Internal politics can sometimes outweigh technical merit or execution. - There are teams with very long-tenured employees where change and innovation can be difficult to drive. - Decision-making often involves multiple layers of approval, resulting in significant bureaucracy and slower execution. - Processes can move slowly, and collaboration is not always transparent across teams, leading to inefficiencies and occasional confusion around ownership. - In some areas, roles, responsibilities, and operational processes are not clearly defined, creating unnecessary chaos and inconsistent ways of working. - Engineering standards and best practices vary considerably between teams, making cross-team collaboration challenging. - Organizational change tends to happen slowly, which can be frustrating for employees who are focused on modernization, automation, and continuous improvement.
