Pros

The building is pretty nice, but that's about it.

Cons

I highly advise seeking employment elsewhere if you value your own health, both mental and physical. You will be given extremely limited break and lunch time which is strictly monitored. There is an on-site physician which sounds great, but is only there to keep you from going home when you're actually sick, or to treat the inevitable dehydration you'll get from trying to stay under your bathroom break time. The training is weak at best, and you will be thrown onto the job with no idea of what to do. They will tell you that all overtime is voluntary. That is a lie. They will make you spend January doing an extra 5 or more hours per week, on their schedule. Your schedule will change regularly, and you have no say in it until you rack up years of seniority. The company advertises loads of fun events and clubs of sorts, whick you will rarely if ever have a chance to enjoy, especially in the small business services unit. They don't tell you which business unit you go to until hired, so expect the worst. The tuition reimbursement is nearly impossible to actually get set up. Managers seem to blow off any request of the sort. The job itself is awful. At the end of the day, it is a call center, and the clients are animals. It doesn't matter at all how helpful you are to them. The system they have which clients use to rate their experience with you is horribly flawed, and never reviewed. You will be expected to take so many calls and have certain client ratings per day, regardless of whether you actually fix the client's problem or not. They care about quantity, definitely not quality. They create a very hostile culture between team members with competitiveness. By that I mean the people who are top performers do receive perks, but the rest are often left to pick up the slack if that perk happens to be time off around a holiday. Don't request time off on a Monday or a Friday. It will never be approved. If you are not a top performer, you can very easily be stuck in this role for years, and have your only option be horizontal movement to an easier department, for the same pay. You do have the option of getting certifications, which ADP will pay for, but it will come out of your tuition reimbursement, so choose a cheap school if you can help it.

Pros

- Established company with a long history and relatively stable business operations. - Provides a sense of job stability compared to many organizations navigating rapid changes in the current AI-driven market. - Lower risk of frequent restructuring or large-scale layoffs than many high-growth technology companies. - Opportunity to work with experienced employees who have deep institutional and domain knowledge. - Predictable work environment that may appeal to individuals seeking long-term stability over rapid change. - Strong choice for professionals who value job security and a steady career path in an uncertain economic climate.

Cons

- Documentation is limited or rusted, and many operational processes lack clear runbooks or standardized procedures, making onboarding and troubleshooting more difficult than necessary. - If you're coming from a modern, fast-paced engineering environment, the organization may feel behind current industry practices and tooling. - Internal politics can sometimes outweigh technical merit or execution. - There are teams with very long-tenured employees where change and innovation can be difficult to drive. - Decision-making often involves multiple layers of approval, resulting in significant bureaucracy and slower execution. - Processes can move slowly, and collaboration is not always transparent across teams, leading to inefficiencies and occasional confusion around ownership. - In some areas, roles, responsibilities, and operational processes are not clearly defined, creating unnecessary chaos and inconsistent ways of working. - Engineering standards and best practices vary considerably between teams, making cross-team collaboration challenging. - Organizational change tends to happen slowly, which can be frustrating for employees who are focused on modernization, automation, and continuous improvement.
