Pros

They give you a good amount of PTO, and really you can Take PTO as long as you are in a really good place sales-wise. They also have pretty decent benefits and a competitive retirement plan. Starting sales point if you don’t have prior experience.

Cons

Managers, VP, DVP, and upper level management beat you down daily. Very, very, very negative work environment. Everyone is so fake that they are constantly trying to claw each other‘s throat‘s out just to advance & you can’t trust anyone here. They change the commission structure every few months and every time they change it it pays out less and less, it becomes more complex to even try to understand even though there is “uncapped commission”. Basically, they pay out less than they ever have before and they’re going to keep paying out less and less. Any positive vibes sent out are very highly fake Just to meet HR standards. No one in upper management actually cares about the employees. Lots of turnover with not only clients, but employees. After about one year in, they stop giving you legitimate clients to call End it doesn’t matter how much input you give because there won’t be any output to account for, even after a full day of working. During the national pandemic last year, lots of our employees were closed. Many of them complained about how we messed up their tax filings and most of the clients on my list were either so disgruntled or closed permanently due to the pandemic. Any potential business I had was run by how annoyed clients and potential clients were by ADP and their terrible services. I was not given support by my manager or upper management and instead beat down continuously to the point I was severely depressed this last year after being a highly successful seller. I was also constantly reminded of how well I did prior to Covid and how my sales post Covid where my fault and I wasn’t doing good enough, even though we expressed concerns many times about our client lists not generating any business whatsoever due to the pandemic. Nothing good at all to say about this company, they scam and recruit fresh talent, use their fresh energy & have new hires really bust it in gear the first year and fire/replace them after 1 to 2 years. These people are users and will gladly push you out the door or fire you after you successfully sell for them and become tenured. They don’t care about anyone and they only care about what they have to do to get to the finish line. These are not people with ethics, they do not care about employees or clients, and they scam clients and recruits frequently. They don’t value employees who go above and beyond, all they care about is how things impact them on the management level. Not to mention, the service that clients are receiving is so bad with the bureaucratic system they have adopted that ADP has such a bad reputation that it’s now hard to sell. You will also have to cold call all day long and have everyone hang up on you because they are so sick of receiving ADP calls & communications, which makes it nearly impossible to sell. Clients hated us because they had been emailed, called, texted, so many times and every time I did have someone on the line they told me how they would not buy from us because they either received 10-20 emails and phone calls a day or more. Do you not work here, do not fall for their scams, and anything they tell you to lure you in as a sales rep. It will be the worst experience of life And you will get booted out of that place questioning your entire existence. Everyone there is secretly miserable on the inside.

Pros

- Established company with a long history and relatively stable business operations. - Provides a sense of job stability compared to many organizations navigating rapid changes in the current AI-driven market. - Lower risk of frequent restructuring or large-scale layoffs than many high-growth technology companies. - Opportunity to work with experienced employees who have deep institutional and domain knowledge. - Predictable work environment that may appeal to individuals seeking long-term stability over rapid change. - Strong choice for professionals who value job security and a steady career path in an uncertain economic climate.

Cons

- Documentation is limited or rusted, and many operational processes lack clear runbooks or standardized procedures, making onboarding and troubleshooting more difficult than necessary. - If you're coming from a modern, fast-paced engineering environment, the organization may feel behind current industry practices and tooling. - Internal politics can sometimes outweigh technical merit or execution. - There are teams with very long-tenured employees where change and innovation can be difficult to drive. - Decision-making often involves multiple layers of approval, resulting in significant bureaucracy and slower execution. - Processes can move slowly, and collaboration is not always transparent across teams, leading to inefficiencies and occasional confusion around ownership. - In some areas, roles, responsibilities, and operational processes are not clearly defined, creating unnecessary chaos and inconsistent ways of working. - Engineering standards and best practices vary considerably between teams, making cross-team collaboration challenging. - Organizational change tends to happen slowly, which can be frustrating for employees who are focused on modernization, automation, and continuous improvement.
