I've had the opportunity to travel internationally and work on some great projects thanks to URS. Culture varies significantly office to office which isnt a bad thing/good thing. Company is pretty relaxed about taking time off, including leave without pay. Really strong QA systems and you'll gain great engineering design skills as there are many skilled and recognised specialists. Will be interesting to see merger results with AECOM
Cons
You'll never make great pay. Pay will be average to below average. Recently I've also seen colleagues lose jobs in tough economic times/markets which is disappointing as one would expect a reasonable buffer in financial doldrums. Seems most $ goes to shareholders and the very senior management. Not much support to staff when seconded to other firms.
