Pros

Some strong sales people. Great relationship with one major storage vendor.

Cons

The company is beholden to one major manufacturer where 80 plus percentage of it revenues come from. Makes it very difficult to be objective in front of customers. The customers in todays market are not ignorant and increasingly they are seeing they are not getting an objective viewpoint. Too much favoritism on the sales side. If you are buddies with the management you are guaranteed better accounts and preferential treatment. If you are not you must fend for yourself.

I apologize that you had a less than favorable experience at Ahead. For clarity, no one vendor is over 40% of our business today and we are committed to offering customers an objective view. For the last four years we have invested considerably in our lab and our advisory consulting services to ensure this is the case. I do agree that we have to continue to hire quality engineers - we have made significant strides on this over the last few months and hired a senior recruiter to focus on this and augment our existing recruiting team. These resources are hard to find, but we are dedicated to process and improving everyday. I wish you the best in your future endeavors.

Pros

Going from a toxic employer to AHEAD has been the best change for my happiness. Everyone at AHEAD is motivated, positive, and willing to help each other. I no longer dread logging into work, and even enjoy the days where I have to work a bit longer or go the extra mile, because I know it will be appreciated and I can take the time I need in return. Having unlimited PTO you don't get shamed for using is amazing. I've been supported in my efforts and have a lot of autonomy without micromanagement, which is a great feeling. Upper management really trusts you and trusts in the hire.

Cons

While being in a high-growth company is exciting, it can also be exhausting. Sometimes you need the "rocket ship" to take a beat, but there is no real lull. More company-wide time off would be helpful so that you can get a break where you don't come back to 50+ emails per day. The only other downside is that due to the fabulous employee retention, people stay in their roles for a looong long time. There are not a lot of opportunities for upward mobility as a result, from what I have seen thus far.
