A company that felt like it was family but when turmoil hits. It's cut-throat. - Storage Engineer AHEAD Employee Review

Pros

Management felt like a tight knit family. It made you feel close. Lots of expertise in their own trade. You will learn a lot here at fast-paced level especially when it's sales driven company. You will even know the owner well too. If you are looking to do pre-sales, you will be the golden child here.

Cons

It was hard to get help sometimes and you would get scrutinized if you ask for too much help especially if you don't know the product well but yet you are there in front of the client to show that you knowledgeable in implementing it. Health benefits are not that great when compared to corporate benefits. There is also no matching 401K, so if you get hired here, make sure that you contribute the maximum if possible. CDI's HQ is located by Teterboro Airport which can be a loud racquet if you do work there. As always, if business does not do well here, company downsizing is very apparent and fingers will get pointed.

Pros

Going from a toxic employer to AHEAD has been the best change for my happiness. Everyone at AHEAD is motivated, positive, and willing to help each other. I no longer dread logging into work, and even enjoy the days where I have to work a bit longer or go the extra mile, because I know it will be appreciated and I can take the time I need in return. Having unlimited PTO you don't get shamed for using is amazing. I've been supported in my efforts and have a lot of autonomy without micromanagement, which is a great feeling. Upper management really trusts you and trusts in the hire.

Cons

While being in a high-growth company is exciting, it can also be exhausting. Sometimes you need the "rocket ship" to take a beat, but there is no real lull. More company-wide time off would be helpful so that you can get a break where you don't come back to 50+ emails per day. The only other downside is that due to the fabulous employee retention, people stay in their roles for a looong long time. There are not a lot of opportunities for upward mobility as a result, from what I have seen thus far.
