Pros

-Great Place to Gain Experience out of College. -Efficient Emergency Room. -Great OB Department. -Decent Doctors. The bottom line is this, it is an excellent Hospital to gain experience and take with you to another hospital/facility that will pay you twice as much. Don't get too comfortable at this facility. Learn what you can and put in applications. The schedule at this facility is amazing and you can take plenty of time of here and there to live your life. This is mostly because this is how they get their employees to become comfortable and stay, never really advancing their career any further. Gain your experience, take as much proper knowledge in as you can, move up to a supervisory or management position if you can see yourself in that kind of position, do the best you can, then take it with you to another facility that will appreciate you more and compensate you for your efforts.

Cons

-Low Pay for the amount of work done, (the only compensation is the hands-on experience you receive). -Spotty Teamwork. -Extremely Low Moral throughout the facility. -High Turnover. -No Communication from Supervisors or Management to lower level employees employees. -Most information on a management/supervisory level seems to be a secret, no transparency. -Hardly any meetings or huddles conducted to go over goals, direction of the company, technical aspects, improvements. It's usually just a piece of paper that is handed out that they make you read, then sign once an issue occurs. No preventive measures taken. -Management likes to reiterate that there are no "favorites" within departments, but there definitely is, and it's usually 99.9% the lazy employees that are protected with a file folder 5 inches thick full of write ups that go nowhere. The employees that have been at this facility for decades and are burned out. This is why there is so much opportunity to gain experience at this facility, because you'll be picking up the slack and given the puzzle pieces needed to build your foundation and piece yourself as a healthcare worker. Just don't get comfortable, the moral level of this facility will start to have a negative effect on your work ethic as time goes on. Know when to ask yourself, "What more can I learn at this facility?". If the answer is, "I've learned all I can" And you are honest with yourself with that answer, then you know it's time to start doing your research and "blasting off" of the "launch pad" you have built yourself to bigger and better things at another facility/hospital before your "launch" is sabotaged or your "rocket parts" start to rust.
