Our Associates certainly are kind and considerate – I’m so glad that was your experience as well and that you also enjoyed our work-life balance, annual performance bonus and other benefits. We take pride in offering these to our Associates.
I’m sorry you feel the way you do about career development at AIR MILES. Developing our talent and providing opportunity for growth is important to us. We place a huge emphasis on internal development and always look to hire from within whenever possible. Last year we filled 60% of our positions with internal hires and promotions in an effort to help Associates advance their careers- a metric we’re really proud of. We also have a couple of important programs in place where Leaders carve out time dedicated toward performance and development conversations with their team such as 1-in-90s and Manager Once Removed conversations.
Indeed, AIR MILES is going through profound change. We have a new executive team, strategy and overall structure and while these changes can be unsettling, I’m personally excited to see where they will take us and hope that our Associates are too. We’re embarking on a new chapter in the AIR MILES story but will always hold true to our values of accountability, transparency, collaboration and trust.
