Decent pay can’t fix everything - Warehouse Deputy ALDI Employee Review

Pros

The pay is decent and a few colleagues try to support each other. On good days, the fast pace makes the shift go quickly, and the team can pull together when things get tough.

Cons

The pressure to hit targets is relentless and often unrealistic. Management is cutting deputies roles in my WH, creating fear and complete collapse moral. Hours have no consistency sometimes very short days, sometimes very long, but lately some of the people look for second jobs because the hours are not enough. Work-life balance is basically nonexistent, and some employees openly talk about wanting to leave.

Pros

Great pay Hours were always there The manager at my location is a rare gem. Never had a boss quite like him. Everyone I worked with became like my family.

Cons

EXTREMELY physically demanding. I injured myself multiple times while I worked there.

Pros

+ industry leading wages Associates - $12/hr, Shift Mgr - $16/hr, SMT - $23/hr, Store Manager - $75,000+/yr + great work environment + excellent training + health, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k + 40-50 hr/wk with paid overtime Very fast paced so work hours fly by. I loved working at Aldi. The pay was great! Benefits great! Was training to be a store manager so a lot was expected of me but I was totally up for it. My store manager loved my work, associates loved my fairness, customers loved me.

Cons

+ work/life balance + walked 28,000 steps/day!!! Never thought I would be fired for clocking in only minutes late!!
