Pros

-Professional building with cafe, starbucks, and gym - The people you work with are great -In depth training program -Free food -Fun culture -Opportunity to make great money -If you don't do well in recruitment they will help place you in a different department -AMN has the most travel jobs and the most exclusives which makes it easier to sell -Once you work at AMN it is pretty easy to get a job at any other travel company

Cons

-Weak management. It is hard to take who they promote as MORs and DORs seriously. For example, recruiters who were struggling to grow their own desk, but had management experience. Recruiters who haven't been beyond a higher TOA count and higher pay grade, but are great "Yes" people who will tell management what they want to hear vs. what they need to hear. If you know how to politic you will promote! -Unprofessional management team. Hearing them gossip about another team member is completely unprofessional and makes me feel like I cannot trust them. -High turnover. They hire a batch of new recruiters every few weeks which makes you feel like a number. -Overtime is always heavily recommended which really does make you feel like number and that they don't respect the work/life balance. -Incorrect commission statements. I am still waiting on one of my commission statements to be paid out correctly. -Lower entry pay for recruitment vs. the other travel agencies

Pros

At nearly 9 years with AMN, I've had the opportunity to grow both personally and professionally while helping hospitals and clinics address critical staffing shortages. The healthcare landscape is constantly evolving, and AMN continues to adapt to meet those challenges while keeping patient care at the center of every decision. I've worked alongside talented colleagues, built meaningful relationships with clinicians, and had the chance to make a real impact by connecting healthcare professionals with communities that need them most. The organization offers opportunities to learn, grow, and take on new challenges in a fast-paced industry.

Cons

Like any company operating in healthcare staffing, the industry can be unpredictable. Market conditions, reimbursement changes, workforce shortages, and client demands can create periods of uncertainty and require teams to pivot quickly. The pace can be demanding, and success often requires resilience, adaptability, and a willingness to embrace change.
