Pros

-Good health insurance -Pancakes on Fridays -Great at welcoming new people (this is also because this office a revolving door and they get tons of practice)

Cons

Paid as low as $18.00/hr for being a Regional Account Manager in charge of over 4,000 hospital contract and relationships with hospital networks. The commission even while hitting goal is terrible. Also, you can only make a deal when someone gets sick, dies, or goes on FMLA but you still have a weekly quota. You're told it's just the business of temporary staffing. They pay recruiters even less which means they are getting low-quality recruiters who fail to build relationships with new candidates. We constantly get candidates lost to competitors simply because their recruiter build better relationships with them up front. This means I can't fill my hospital's opening because our candidates don't trust our recruiters. Which means we lose a lot of deals. This hurts your commission significantly.

Pros

At nearly 9 years with AMN, I've had the opportunity to grow both personally and professionally while helping hospitals and clinics address critical staffing shortages. The healthcare landscape is constantly evolving, and AMN continues to adapt to meet those challenges while keeping patient care at the center of every decision. I've worked alongside talented colleagues, built meaningful relationships with clinicians, and had the chance to make a real impact by connecting healthcare professionals with communities that need them most. The organization offers opportunities to learn, grow, and take on new challenges in a fast-paced industry.

Cons

Like any company operating in healthcare staffing, the industry can be unpredictable. Market conditions, reimbursement changes, workforce shortages, and client demands can create periods of uncertainty and require teams to pivot quickly. The pace can be demanding, and success often requires resilience, adaptability, and a willingness to embrace change.
