      Providing patient care. - Decent benefits.

      Cons

      Where do I begin to start? Management is clueless and has no idea how to run this company. Broken trucks, broken A/C units, no value in the employees (you are a number and can be replaced the next day), Inexperienced supervisors with no patient care backgrounds, broken equipment, lack of pay, hold overs, overworked crews and causing fatigue.

      Career growth opportunities, supportive coworkers, opportunities to learn and develop, ability to advance if you stay engaged and work hard

      Cons

      Healthcare/EMS can be demanding, long hours at times, stressful days, and workload can be heavy depending on staffing and operations. These things aren’t specific to AMR, that’s our industry in general.

      Pros

      AMR San Mateo is making huge strides in changing the Old Boy culture of EMS. The operation is collaborative, cares for its employees, and acts with accountability.

      Cons

      Although it's much better than it was, AMR San Mateo still deals with staffing issues, primarily for medics, and forced mandation is still in play.
