Absolutely no pros besides being able to help the community when staffing and profit margins permit.
Cons
-Pay is horrible.
-Management is completely incompetent, unknowledgeable, and will actively seek to harm employees who question them.
-Staffing practices actively harm the community they serve

Career growth opportunities, supportive coworkers, opportunities to learn and develop, ability to advance if you stay engaged and work hard
Cons
Healthcare/EMS can be demanding, long hours at times, stressful days, and workload can be heavy depending on staffing and operations. These things aren’t specific to AMR, that’s our industry in general.

Thank you for the 5‑star review! We’re glad to hear you’ve found strong growth opportunities, supportive coworkers, and room to develop. We also recognize the challenges that come with the demands of EMS, and we appreciate your commitment through it all. Your advice on continued investment and open communication is valued and will be shared.
AMR San Mateo is making huge strides in changing the Old Boy culture of EMS. The operation is collaborative, cares for its employees, and acts with accountability.
Cons
Although it's much better than it was, AMR San Mateo still deals with staffing issues, primarily for medics, and forced mandation is still in play.
