Pros
The company cares a lot about the employees and customers. Leadership is very invested and involved in daily activity. This all leads to a culture focused on service, community, and coaching. There are great benefits beyond just base pay, especially as you grow within the company, including attending conferences, educational opportunities, purchasing stock, profit and performance bonus, generous time off, etc. Additionally, if you show interest in getting involved in special projects and committees, there is ample opportunity to get involved in something beyond just your daily duties and help make change/improvements happen. Finally, it’s very much a transparent, team-oriented atmosphere and feels like a stable, secure, and enjoyable environment where each day brings new challenges to conquer.
Cons
Something that the company is actively working on is implementing more consistent training and better procedures. This is a work in progress and takes time. Progress is a never-ending list, but luckily willing employees can be involved in that improvement. This isn’t the best place to work if you think you can come in and advance really quickly. The company understandably wants to make sure you master what you’re doing and prove yourself before promoting, but that said, there are lots of internal transfer and growth opportunities. You just have to be patient, which pays off in the end.
