Pros

High visibility within the company. Flexibility of ways of working. Personal growth is encouraged.

Cons

Unclear goals. Changing demands and priorities. Project budget fluctuations. Unnecessary corporate demands. Poor talent retention. Compensation does not keep up with inflation (~2.5%/year for 'Meets Expectations' performance while San Diego's cost of living increased at >5%/year over the past 5 years.) No raise for movement to positions with more responsibility... ASML views as 'lateral movement'.

Pros

Professional Development: ASML offers great benefits, including tuition reimbursement and strong career growth paths for those who are proactive. It’s a fantastic place to build a resume and learn high-demand technical skills.  Talented Colleagues: You are surrounded by very smart, dedicated people. The collaborative nature of the engineering and manufacturing teams makes solving complex, "impossible" problems possible.

Cons

Management Consistency: Like many large organizations, your experience can be heavily dependent on your specific team or manager. While many departments are excellent, others can feel the weight of high-pressure deadlines and micromanagement. Bureaucracy: As the company has expanded, it has become more corporate. Be prepared for a high volume of meetings and a need to navigate internal processes to get things done.
