Pros

You'll travel to other ASML offices around the US and perhaps around the world. People are generally open and friendly. Interestingly, the grapevine is generally the best and most reliable methods to know what's going on in the company and ASML doesn't actively repress the rumor mill. The avenues for internal communication are always open, the politics aren't unbearable and methods for getting a job done are left open for individual interpretation. Benefits are decent, but not extravagant and there is some flexibility of working hours. Safety is almost never an issue. Working areas are not cramped and the location in the ASU Research Park is good.

Cons

"If it ain't Dutch, it ain't much" and "Not invented here" are stumbling blocks in every single project. Normal, off the shelf, software and management tools are almost never used. Input given from outside Veldhoven is frequently (and quickly) disregarded. Opportunities for advancement are rare and positions are typically given to individuals rather than posted for internal application. ASML puts very few resources into their own personnel outside of Customer Support. Internal systems for everyting from requesting flash memory to customer requests for equipment improvements are unbelievably cumbersome. A multi page "business case" is required for everything over $100.

Pros

Location is good and near freeway, they make a crucial technology for the world to function

Cons

Toxic environment. Selective enforcement, antisemitic DEI culture, tattle tale rat snitch employees, managers play favorites, managers move the goal post after you were supposed to earn a salary increase. too many foreigners in management and not enough americans. DEI is a joke and is run by a racist black women. Company will burn you and punish you for problems someoen else created and punish you for it despite no power to fix the issue yourself.
