Pros
Pros - Good work/life balance (if you don't want to get a promotion) - Hands compliments for good work (but never a promotion) - Good place to kill your early career ambitions
Cons
Very poor management team at Hillsboro. Will always have a 'but' after good work. - Management will keep you at same Job grade level for years to frustrate you and force you to quit - Team always works in silos, and never open about sharing knowledge and team's technical ability. However, they always "encourage" collaboration and open communication. - Management team will do their best to justify keeping you at same level based on arbitrary reviews and targets that will be ignored even if you achieve them. High favoritism culture seen. - Management will set goals for you to become local expert on product, but will not arrange any professional trainings to help you (even if there are trainings available, they will discourage because the timing/venue isn't friendly). And in the end give you a poor performance review because you didn't become the expert on it.
