Pros
In my 25 years of experience in Defense contracting, I have never been treated so well. AUSGAR’s owners know most of their employees by name and they go out of their way to acknowledge hard work and achievement. Honestly, I’ve been personally thanked more times in the two years that I have worked here than in the 25 years at the other companies combined. Management is committed to ethical behavior and does the right thing even when it hurts profits. Excellent work/life balance. Several employees have left for other opportunities and then have returned. Benefits are good and I really enjoy the cell phone reimbursement.
Cons
Contract funding has been a little bumpy due to defense spending ups and downs. Good employees are getting covered during coverage gaps.
