Pros
My manager is phenomenal. Probably the biggest reason I have stayed at the company so long. Also, the company does go out of their way to make a positive work environment, i.e. Employee Relief Fund, Employee of the Month awards, cake day each month for birthdays, 15 days of vacation to start. Management is really understanding about hurricanes and stuff if you get evacuated or something, they will work with you.
Cons
As much as I love my department, there are just one or two other departments that cause the rest of the company a LOT of headaches. They are run very inefficiently and cost the company a lot of money. Because they run so inefficiently, other departments tend to need to pick up the slack and it puts more pressure on the other departments. Luckily, it seems almost everyone else understands the issues that department brings so even with the extra work, you aren't accountable for their shortcomings. But don't let this scare you because, in relation to things, it is a small problem.
