Pros
Flexible hours. Work inside. Starts off dollars above minimum wage. Depending on location, there is free food from the hotel. You get to interact with many different groups. There are some times where you are just at the job site and spend time "being available."
Cons
Mostly part time positions where the hours can drastically vary week to week. As the work is event based, you do not know your schedule for the very end of the week prior.
