Pros
Nice coworkers + some interesting software engineering tasks
Cons
I'm writing this in response to the "Three Cheers for Elastic Workforces" review. That review resonated with me and suggested that if we worked elsewhere we might be getting 30%-45% more pay. That might be true for SE1, but other companies (such as the referenced "Satellite Radio Company") tend to pay more for more senior positions. I would estimate the pay discrepancy to be closer to 30% to 145% for second-tier technology firms such as "SRC". And if you're qualified for a top-tier firm, you could easily be making 100% to 200+% more because Abalta pays engineers so much less. However, the work at Abalta is significantly less challenging than at a top tier firm. The "SRC" management was not the best and they appeared to blame issues on the Abalta P.M.s regularly such that P.M. turnover seemed unusually high. For other issues, I agree with the 3-Cheers review. Also worth mentioning that that review and this review are only with respect to the "Services" (aka: "Elastic Workforces") side of the company. There's also a "Products" side of the company which was basically separate when I worked there and had slightly better pay and more interesting engineering work.
