Pros

Steady job, great if your not interested in innovating. Make a ton of cash.

Cons

If you want to do things that actually make a difference in this industry, this is not the place. Their goal is to maintain the status quo and rake in crazy amounts of cash from the American people

Pros

Friendly people and good projects.

Cons

Hard to get to know people sometimes because of people working in both Dallas and Chicago.

Pros

Clean environment, climate controlled, good benefits, easy to move up if you have a degree in anything at all - experience not required. Lots of overtime if you want it, and nobody seems to mind if you don't get any at all.

Cons

Increasing bureaucracy is making it more challenging for employees to perform their daily duties efficiently, including simple tasks like moving from one area of the plant to another, taking breaks or staying in contact with family during work hours. There are significant opportunities for leadership to strengthen how the maintenance department is managed and supported. Leadership turnover in maintenance has been high, with frequent changes making it difficult to maintain long-term development initiatives and commitments. There appears to be limited emphasis on developing, nurturing, and retaining hourly employees. For example, the company previously offered a pension plan for non-union employees, which was recently discontinued for new hires. Experienced personnel could be better utilized for complex tasks, troubleshooting, mentoring, and team leadership roles. Recognition for high performers seems limited, and additional support for those who are struggling could be beneficial. While formal job training is minimal, a substantial amount of time and attention is dedicated to audit readiness and ensuring employees acknowledge numerous documents to help reduce business liability.
