Pros

Caring, compassionate leadership and support. I have never worked somewhere where I felt so comfortable asking questions and I feel like my input is valuable and matters. I had great experiences with the interview process and when I first connected with the supervisors. It meant a lot to me that the CEO reached out when there was a delay in getting me started on a couple of cases- he actually offered me the opportunity to attend and get paid for additional training to give me hours and better support the clients I was assigned! Also like the system they use to record data and client progress in- it did take me a few weeks to adjust but it does make life easier for the BT's and BCBAs to easily track within it then do on paper. Its also great they provide a chromebook so it can all be done while working with clients.

Cons

The schedule can be outside of the norm. I do have a break in my day now that I wish I didn't have but know its best to meet the needs of the families so I just plan my errands around it.

Pros

Wonderful staff who genuinely care about both their employees and the families they work with. Very quick to get BHTs/RBTs scheduled and started once you meet all the necessary state and role required qualifications compared to other ABA companies I've dealt with. Everyone from the BCs to clinical supervisors, training support team, and scheduling treat BHTs and RBTs like a valuable part of a team rather than a commodity that exists to crank out as much income as possible for the company.

Cons

Working in ABA (especially as an RBT) means a good bit of driving, spotty schedules at times depending on need in your area, cancellations by families, and other barriers that can cause some instability in hours and pay, but this is true of every ABA company and ATS staff will work hard to try to get you what you need, even if that means your scheduler has to do some complex gymnastics to make that happen (thanks Rebecca!) The pay could be higher, but it's livable and things like drive time and supervision hours are paid at a reasonable rate instead of minimum wage.
