Pros

Great company, really active and engaging team, super welcoming, paid for my training and subsequent certification and were really supportive during that process. Awesome scheduling team, plenty of clients, have had great experiences with my BCBA supervisors

Cons

It is pandemic times so this is probably an experience across the board, but there aren't a lot of opportunities to meet fellow employees within the company. The only difficult thing about this kind of job is that if a client cancels, even if you're on your way, you don't get paid for that travel or lost time/income. But even then, ATS is really great about checking in and making sure you are happy with the hours you are getting.

Pros

Wonderful staff who genuinely care about both their employees and the families they work with. Very quick to get BHTs/RBTs scheduled and started once you meet all the necessary state and role required qualifications compared to other ABA companies I've dealt with. Everyone from the BCs to clinical supervisors, training support team, and scheduling treat BHTs and RBTs like a valuable part of a team rather than a commodity that exists to crank out as much income as possible for the company.

Cons

Working in ABA (especially as an RBT) means a good bit of driving, spotty schedules at times depending on need in your area, cancellations by families, and other barriers that can cause some instability in hours and pay, but this is true of every ABA company and ATS staff will work hard to try to get you what you need, even if that means your scheduler has to do some complex gymnastics to make that happen (thanks Rebecca!) The pay could be higher, but it's livable and things like drive time and supervision hours are paid at a reasonable rate instead of minimum wage.
