Pros
Fantastic people, positive workplace culture, friendly coworkers always willing to help you. Grant is fantastic Great job to get your feet wet in sales. Other job recruiters will reach out to you when they see you worked at Acquire. Bootcamp for a future good paying job. Learned how to take NO's all day. Take the job, make the best of it, put it on your resume because someone who wants to pay you will contact you soon. Put in the time and it will pay off quickly in another company.
Cons
It's a retail sales job, doesn't matter what the job post says, it has many dressy names. Repetitive (likely because the turnover is so high) 7:30 am meetings to "get you pumped up." These are only fun for the first week. You're required to dress in your business best every morning only to change into chinos and a polo to sell directv inside a Costco, Sams, Etc, (insert big box wholesale store name here). Really no such thing as a day off, even on your "day off" you're required to be at the office for the 7:30am meeting dressed up in your best to listen to the pep talk. Schedule for the week starting on Monday comes out late on the Sunday before so you lear very quickly to make tentative plans rather than set plans with anyone, not to mention the schedule changes multiple times every week, even day of so always check when you're supposed to work, and get used to cancelling plans outside of work often. Pay is very low at only $10/hour, so yes while they pay you "$400 per week in a base pay you only see about $280 of that after taxes (Why its a good job for someone with little to no overhead) to cushion a bad sales week, you get your pay OR your commission whichever is higher each week. It's a very symbiotic position much like the birds that eat the bugs off of large animals, the birds (you) eat, and the large animal (the company) thrives. Eventually the large animal will take you to the big watering hole where you can find some great opportunities. also, a lot of driving and no gas reimbursment or extra pay for mileage or the fact that you have to use your own cell phone for the job when calling in orders.
