Pros

-Everyone on the team has a high intellect, strong work ethic, desire to collaborate, openness to learn, eagerness to help, and are generally just fun to be around. -Flexible remote work environment. I serve our portfolio companies and travel to Las Vegas about once a month. Other than that, I work from home -Meeting-light: this was a HUGE unlock for me. My previous job had me back to back in meetings from 9a-5p so the only time I had to get work done was AFTER work. At Acquisition.com, we ruthlessly screen whether meetings are necessary at all and communicate largely via Slack. This gives me freedom to plan my day as I see fit - Company growth: Working with the Hormozis (and the rest of this team) is like being strapped to a rocket ship! The company is growing super fast and I just feel lucky to be a part of the journey!

Cons

-Lack of structure: Not so much a con if you're used to a start-up environment, but if you're expecting there to a policy for every situation you encounter, you're in the wrong place -Small team: It's difficult to entirely unplug if you're taking PTO because we have a small team, which means that everyone is important. If you're expecting to turn your phone off entirely while on a week long vacation, you're probably in the wrong place.

Pros

Strong, values-driven leadership that genuinely invests in developing people. Unmatched opportunities for personal and professional growth. You’re surrounded by high performers, given real responsibility, and pushed to develop skills that accelerate your career far faster than at most companies.

Cons

Truly the best culture ever

Pros

The company has built a strong brand and produces valuable public content that attracts talented people. I worked alongside several hardworking colleagues who genuinely cared about customers and wanted to do great work.

Cons

The culture did not match what was promoted publicly. Performance did not seem to be the main factor in promotions or career growth. High performers were expected to do the work of multiple people without matching compensation. Leadership was slow to make decisions and often focused more on discussion than execution. Processes and systems were inconsistent, making it difficult for teams to operate efficiently. Feedback was encouraged until it challenged leadership. If you value ownership, independent thinking, and being rewarded for results, make sure you do your research before accepting an offer.
