Pros
I joined Activision about 2 years ago and it has been an amazing experience. The people are fabulous and everyone is welcoming and helpful. The work-balance is the best I've experienced in my career. With the work being very seasonal, everyone pushes up their sleeves and pitches in with long nights and weekends when necessary, but during the slower parts of the year you are not expected to burn yourself out doing the same just for the sake of appearances. The culture is very casual but employee-centric. Good work is recognized and appreciation is given. The continuous feedback process is the most mature of any company I have worked at -- it's not just lip service being paid, but regular checkins with your manager and thoughtful goals that are looked at not just at year end.
Cons
Although there are snacks and some perks like bagel and donut days, the benefits could be stronger to compete with the tech sector. Medical plans are awfully expensive and the 401k match could be better. Also even though there are game discounts, there aren't yet any employee discounts on digital content or extras that go with the games, so you are still paying full price for Season Passes for Call of Duty and toys for the Skylanders portal.
