Pros

Amazing co-workers Good benefits with the split vacation / sick time Halfway decent medical insurance coverage Covid-19 responsiveness and employee understanding was the best.

Cons

Don’t expect senior leaders to take anything to heart. They’ll listen and ignore. Don’t expect career growth, that’s gone out the window. Don’t expect to avoid layoffs. Don’t expect to have the consumer choice of where you bank - they’ve made it a requirement to bolster membership growth - don’t think it’s truly “free” because if you choice not to use the account it will get hit with a dormant account fee - then don’t expect to get that fee refunded without ending up on the employee bad list SRMGMT reviews - then don’t expect not to ultimately get written up or possibly terminated if you have that not-desired-not-used account go negative. It’s a lose-lose. The long-time, quality, employees get shoved into dead end roles for speaking out against politics. The long-time, submissive brown-nosers, get rewarded and job protection. If you think you can make change, go somewhere else, they don’t want you to challenge the status quo unless they come up with the solution. Prepare for your work to go unrecognized. Best advice received from a coworker: work your wage. Let things fail, then they’ll have to act.

Thank you for your candid feedback. All of our team members are very important and our higher tenured team members have a very valuable viewpoint as well. While you have provided a large amount of issues, a couple in particular stand out. Bank Account Requirement: We implemented the requirement for having a bank account with Addition Financial ahead of testing our new digital banking platform. We are so mission-focused on having the best member experience possible that we wanted the entire team at Addition Financial to experience the new product and help test it so that there are no issues once our members begin using it. The requirement to have an account is only in place when there are new upgrades to test with our banking technology. Giving Feedback & Action: Without specifics, you have decided that speaking up has negative impacts. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Feedback and open communication are encouraged and frankly is one characteristic of promotability. What may be frustrating to some is the focus on performance and bringing your "A game" every day. Any feedback that is productive around how to do work better, smarter, faster, and at higher service levels for our members is always listened to and actioned in some productive way. Negative accusations without source or accuracy tend not to be acknowledged. Please reach out to your manger, senior leader, or to your HR Business Partner to share your thoughts so that we can all work together to improve the situations you may be seeing.

Pros

- Supportive coworkers who made the work environment more enjoyable. - Opportunities for continuous education and professional development.

Cons

- Compensation did not align with workload, with minimal raises and limited financial recognition for tenure. - Executive leadership often appeared disconnected from frontline operations. Interactions with staff were frequently perceived as dismissive or condescending. (Shirley Shoemaker & Kevin Dougherty) - Policies were enforced inconsistently, sometimes undermining employees in front of members. - PTO was restricted during holidays for most staff, while leadership had greater flexibility. - Employee feedback was not always received openly, with some actions creating a perception of retaliation. Often by “promoting” individuals to branches on the opposite side of town. - Pressure to meet sales goals conflicted with the company’s “members first” messaging. - Employees were strongly encouraged to participate in “best of” voting, raising concerns about authenticity. - Safety concerns were not always handled with urgency. In one instance, after being threatened by a customer and contacting the risk team, the response was minimal, which left me feeling unsupported.
