Pros

- PTO - Learn about banking

Cons

-Strict Attendance policy that other senior departments or management does NOT have to follow - You cannot work here without a bank account with Addition. - Communication among the branches and the headquarters are non-existent and very last minute - Credit union policies are strict and do not benefit the members and it puts you in an uncomfortable position by providing bad customer service - Don't expect to grow here - They put you through consumer lending training but will not provide you your NMLS license - They open up positions specifically for their bilingual friends. - Your efforts are not valued here - Addition does not value employees loyalty , senior , eagerness to learn new skills - The way bonuses ( which is hardly once a year ) are distributed is so complicated that you will never know until you get paid .

Thank you for your feedback. Strict Attendance Policy: Yes, Addition Financial has a robust attendance policy to ensure we have the right number of team members daily to better serve our members. Consistency across departments and levels is always being reviewed and appreciate the feedback here. Bank Account Requirement: We implemented the requirement for having a bank account with Addition Financial ahead of testing our new digital banking platform. We are so mission-focused on having the best member experience possible that we wanted the entire team at Addition Financial to experience the new product and help test it so that there are no issues once our members begin using it. The requirement to have an account is only in place when there are new upgrades to test with our banking technology. Member Satisfaction: We have a team dedicated to reviewing member feedback and while our online reputation is positive (Google aggregate score of 4.9), we are committed to listening to our members to ensure our efforts align with providing excellent member service. Limited Growth Opportunities: We have career development programs such as job shadowing, progressive technical training based on career paths, and leadership development classes aimed at aspiring leaders. We welcome all team members to take the initiative with their career growth and to work with their managers. Sustained performance in current role and other factors lead to growth opportunities. Check in with our HR Team to learn more. Employee Loyalty and Skill Development: We appreciate your dedication and eagerness to learn. We're committed to fostering a culture that values loyalty and supports continuous skill development. Bonus Distribution: We hear your feedback on the bonus structure. We have created visibility though our CEO communicating the plan at the beginning of the year combined with our Chief Communications Officer sharing monthly updates to all team members. We have also made improvements this year by designing a team member-accessible dashboard for greater visibility that went live in first quarter.

Pros

- Supportive coworkers who made the work environment more enjoyable. - Opportunities for continuous education and professional development.

Cons

- Compensation did not align with workload, with minimal raises and limited financial recognition for tenure. - Executive leadership often appeared disconnected from frontline operations. Interactions with staff were frequently perceived as dismissive or condescending. (Shirley Shoemaker & Kevin Dougherty) - Policies were enforced inconsistently, sometimes undermining employees in front of members. - PTO was restricted during holidays for most staff, while leadership had greater flexibility. - Employee feedback was not always received openly, with some actions creating a perception of retaliation. Often by “promoting” individuals to branches on the opposite side of town. - Pressure to meet sales goals conflicted with the company’s “members first” messaging. - Employees were strongly encouraged to participate in “best of” voting, raising concerns about authenticity. - Safety concerns were not always handled with urgency. In one instance, after being threatened by a customer and contacting the risk team, the response was minimal, which left me feeling unsupported.
