Some of the pros to working for this company - You really get to know and love your patients! - You’re doing something wonderful by helping out an elder whether they just want the companionship or if they need help eating, changing, house cleaning, etc.
Cons
Some of the cons for working at Addus- - There’s A LOT more cons than pro’s unfortunately!!! - There is no company vehicle to use so you will be putting a ton of mileage on your own personal vehicle! - If you have patients who live together and you take care of them both you will NOT be compensated for mileage pay! - If you’re not being paid for the mileage in between clients due to them living together or even that you have a break longer than 30 mins.. you will NOT be making much money once you deduct what it costs for the gas you use and when taxes and all that is taken out of your paycheck!! - This is something you have to love doing but not expecting to get rich overnight… because you’re not making nearly as much as you should for the care you are giving!!
