Pros

There is ALWAYS something you can do to stand out and show your value. Good pay.

Cons

A million needs, and no staff. Everyone else has to work short, ...and when that takes a toll on you, they just demand more and more. For the things they put their staff through, they should show more appreciation, and have more realistic expectations. It's a bad cycle...Hugh turnover r/t poor staffing..r/t high turnover. Not a terrible place, just this disconnect between management and staff. Employees never feel valued. They may need to blow budget and cater to staff, and get more agency to cover shortages. Then, maybe people will stay. Also, there is a disconnect between nursing and pt hopi. So many nurses have little to know knowledge regarding theit pts POC throughout the admission. Maybe an electronic kardex/event time line would be helpful as well. Nurses don't trust the care they provide when they have no clue why they are doing what they are doing. Luckily, sometimes the doctors know what's going on.

Pros

- Great experience for healthcare - Learn lots of valuable skills and knowledge - Availability of shifts The ER at Adventhealth Tampa is a great place to work it when you're focused on your personal goals in developing your skills within healthcare. The location is constantly busy and there is always something to do. Moreover, there are plenty of shifts to pick up if you need the extra money. The skills you learn as an ER Technician are beneficial especially if you want to move up in your career.

Cons

- Constant workflow and very busy - Not very welcoming The ER at Adventhealth Tampa can be very busy at times. Some days there will be 40-60 patients in the department others will be 70-100. It can vary each day, but most of the time the work is very busy. There will be a lot of sick patients. Moreover, the place doesn't feel as welcoming or friendly, it feels very cliquey. Unnecessary attitude between coworkers for no reason.
