Pros

Great team environment with easy to talk to supervisors and information guides that keep employees up to date with changes.

Cons

Pay is nowhere near a livable wage. AH states it's competitive, but most employees work a side job to make ends meet. For those of us who don't have that opportunity we live paycheck to paycheck and often can't afford things like food or utilities on a regular basis. Their idea of a holiday bonus is $50 which doesn't cover anything and the health care we get is just as laughable. Holidays are not paid off by the company as they require employees to use their vacation time if they want to get paid instead. The benefits are truly not worth it.

Pros

- Great experience for healthcare - Learn lots of valuable skills and knowledge - Availability of shifts The ER at Adventhealth Tampa is a great place to work it when you're focused on your personal goals in developing your skills within healthcare. The location is constantly busy and there is always something to do. Moreover, there are plenty of shifts to pick up if you need the extra money. The skills you learn as an ER Technician are beneficial especially if you want to move up in your career.

Cons

- Constant workflow and very busy - Not very welcoming The ER at Adventhealth Tampa can be very busy at times. Some days there will be 40-60 patients in the department others will be 70-100. It can vary each day, but most of the time the work is very busy. There will be a lot of sick patients. Moreover, the place doesn't feel as welcoming or friendly, it feels very cliquey. Unnecessary attitude between coworkers for no reason.
