Pros

Benefits are ok, compensation is ok - on paper, I love my nurse colleagues

Cons

It’s all about the numbers - weighted productivity and metrics - however, they won’t disclose what the weighted productivity is based on! I have NEVER worked for an employer who will not disclose what they “grade” you on or what each task you perform is worth...... Aetna does not care about their members and outcomes, they only care about the “numbers” and what their reports generate! Nursing DOES NOT always fit into a box..... There is no transparency with this job and the expectation is kept secret! Upper management is invisible and direct supervisors have their hands tied. This culture is toxic and not the least bit supportive. Now they are requiring multi-state licensure for their nurses and they expect this extremely time consuming task to be done on your own free time! The salary appears fair on paper, but when you are threaten by your managers to complete the task of obtaining 25 extra state licenses without any time allotted during your work day - your compensation is pathetic! Total bait and switch!! Extensive training that really doesn’t prepare you for your job! The senior administrative assistant is just down right nasty!! The computer programs are bulky, cumbersome and not user friendly - built for reporting only and there are known glitches that really don’t capture everything you do and they are aware of it but your still held accountable! Just buying time......and then I’ll most likely move on to a better company such as Accolade, BC/BS, etc..... Maybe it’s a good thing that they are being bought by CVS........
