Pros

Office in Soho. But that doesn't matter now because of covid. They sponsor h1b visas.

Cons

Analytics and Behavior Change (A&BC) in Soho is the fancy new data science org of Aetna. It's a giant sham for a company which should have perished by now but the healthcare industry in America keeps this dinosaur alive. When you enter the floor, you see rows and rows of Asians and South Asians toiling away on their computers (obviously all of them are visa slaves), not many companies sponsor under Trump administration so Aetna has that going for itself. When you look around at the cabins , you see that most of them (if not all) are occupied by white men and maybe one white woman. The dynamic is pretty apparent. The white people manage and the Asians and South Asians work. It's such a depressing environment that anyone who thinks otherwise is either a little deluded or in denial. Companies like Aetna are the epitome of what is wrong with America currently. It is a racist, sexist and depressing workplace and if you care about any of these issues, then you would stay away. If you want your h1b visa, then join. But know there is nothing to learn here, low chances of growth (especially if you are non white) and they pretend to be doing Data Science but most of the time they are just barely able to make their Hadoop clusters function half decently. Do not fall for all the branding and ads on LinkedIn. Stay away if you value your sanity and well being.
