Business Outlook
Pros
You will generally have a large budget to work with, but events like the sequester can curtail that. You can often see tangible results to your efforts, even if years down the road. Government regulations ensure that you will not have to work many long hours if you don't want to; 40hrs/week with part of that allotted for personal fitness time is quite the luxury. You will work hand-in-hand with defense contractors and often have many job opportunities awaiting.
Cons
As an active duty military member, you will promote on a very preditcable path; comfortable but not well suited for the ambitious or high-performing. The beauracracy is pretty thick, but this is to be expected when your "shareholders" are the US taxpayers.
