Pros

work life balance is pretty good. Bases are different so find one you will want. 7day on/7 day off. 24 hour shift or 12 hours shift. 24 hour shift not available for pilots

Cons

Senior management has been locked up with union reps for the pilots since 2016. This means wages are not going up, even for entry level. Pilots are finding other opportunities elsewhere as wages and benefits are really behind the average. The lastest proposal was not even close to adequate, so the pilot union voted it down. With the recent tax reduction on corporate america, you would think that management would give out more benefits to its members. But they also wanted to increase the premiums for health care. The corporate management was already making yearly bonuses and such, now they will make more money. Since karma is present... the management will learn that waiting to settle the contract AFTER its expired LAST 2 TIMES, does not help... especially since the tax cuts have been approved. Now they basically have no option but approve nice benefits.

Pros

Only pro was the hiring process which consisted of two interviews and then an offer. That should have been the first red flag.

Cons

Private Equity controlled organization. No onboarding process or training provided. You are sent to their HQ for two days of learning how to turn your computer on and how to open a couple of computer applications. They are looking for a zero to hero hire. Be prepared. Tumultuous with lots of turnover. Was told this was a career-long role and in a couple of short months, the CEO was fired, the VP of sales took off. New executive leadership team created an environment of fear and layoffs. Lots of huge egos and very little tolerance for questioning poor business decisions and strategies. No attention given to the voice of the customer and what would strategically help move the needle. It really gives off the odor of a company trying to be sold.
